need pictures

i'm sure i read somewhere that opel continued making the mk3 for several years after vauxhall stopped....

yep pretty sure thats true, those of you who have ever used the vauxhall EPC system may have noticed such thing as an "Astra Classic 99-02" which is what that yellow W reg is, which also means there will be some 2002 plated mk3s out there, but only in far away Opel land, as for the RHD Opel issue, not that strange really, the republic of Ireland and South Africa have RHD Opels, the yellow 1 is most likely a SA imported one.

I still think I hold the record for having seen the newest genuine pukka UK Vauxhall version, 99 V reg 1.4 SPI Merit estate in purple some1 round my way drives, came new from a local vauxhall dealer, late late pre-reg.

have also seen a T reg flame red Cabriolet, and various (i.e. about half a dozen) S reg's, usually 1.7 D/TDS Merit/LS's in white,

i've seen a V reg white merit RHD on the M40. Looked tatty tbh

Lots of the S-plates about, they were destined for use by the Police but were never used as they moved onto the MK4 quicker than expected.
