Looking for a car for my mrs as she's doing her test soon and we need a cheap small car for her. She cant use mine because the insurance companies want 1500 quid off her which is stupid for a 1.4 merit no torq. I have been looking at a few corsa's for her but even the 1.4 and 1.2 are still steep on the insurance side of things. The only one she can realistically afford the insurance on is a 1.0 12v. A few of my staff have run these as delivery cars in the past (domino's manager lol) and have told me not to go there as they are gutless unreliable dogs. The gutless and slow thing ain't going to bother her as she screeches at me if I so much as dare go a mph faster than the posted speed limit what I am bothered about is whether or not they are really as unreliable as people are telling me?

I drove one a while back, theyre surprisingly perky and not as gutless as you might think. Not much use on the M6 but as a town car its decent

Oh thats allright then I doubt she'll spend alot of time on motorways in it apart from the trips down the A1 to visit family and friends.

true it might be a tad more cannot exactly remember how much everything was but think its about that price if youy say 250 then you should have it covered :)

if you can deal with the horrible sound they make and the vibrations on idle, if you decide to get one check for cracks to the manifold and check signs of the head gasket going i found these to be common problems with them.
