Swapping dash

How easy is it to swap the dashboard in the mk3 I currently
Have a Grey one fitted he easy wouldn't be to swap if i could find a black dash

prety easy mate i did my full interior from blue to black in like 3 4 hours with me misus makin me n mate cups of tea aswell lol

Ok all i have to do is find a black dash glovebox and centre console (and a misus to make me tea)

Its ok to do, bolts are at the side of the dash and under the scuttle panel iirc.

Just need to remove dials, heater stuff, tid etc

Be sure to label everything as it'll make putting it all back a lot easier

u neede the wiper motor out, scuttle panel off theirs 4 or 5 nuts under the windscreen,

steering wheel off, clocks heater dials etc i can have mine out in a hour, if all goes to plan

u mays well change heater matrix will your on coz theirs nowt worse than building all back up then a week later u have a wet carpet and steamy windows, and have to take it all back out,

I only remember takeing 3 out but come to think of it there may be for and I broke one

3 13 mll bolts under the scuttle, one at each end, and one in the middle, you will need to take the wiper motor and scuttle off

If you've undone 4 you've unbolted part of the steering column/rack

Second that, just taking the dash out here for Paddy 1.7 and heres 3 13mm nuts to undo

Take the whole unit out (as a whole - keep everything attached). Pull it out once you've got the four bolts out, and then remove everything in-situ, it's much easier - like this:
