Smooth boot

the straight down one doesn't looks right. you need to build up the panels beneath the rear lights, and that makes your lights look like a 5hite fit. follow the original shape of the boot, and it looks fantastic - like mine! :thumb:

IMHO the straight down one looks totally out of place. I would imagine it would be cheaper to get the other option done

or just do it yourself! it aint hard if you know someone with a welder

i thot about doing the total flush number on my astra..but i think it makes the car look to flat n boxy.

instead of smoothing the boot have you thought about smoothing the black panel and then colour coding it.

like this....

think thats what i mite do in future
id much prefer that to a smooth boot! it keeps the shape of the boot better :thumb:

I really want a smooth boot on my astra, i've seen this one on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8042051539&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

But i think that i prefer it done where it is straight down rather than following the shape of the of the original boot.
How much can this cost to do, or has anyone got 1 for sale??

That boot never had a black panel so smoothing it would have been alot easier(cheaper) as theres just a lock hole and the number plate holes to smooth. As charlie said, try smoothing the panel instead looks good
