Smooth boot

I really want a smooth boot on my astra, i've seen this one on ebay

But i think that i prefer it done where it is straight down rather than following the shape of the of the original boot.
How much can this cost to do, or has anyone got 1 for sale??

For a straight down flush boot I got quoted £85 unsprayed.
Decided against it as it looked too plain.

the straight down one doesn't looks right. you need to build up the panels beneath the rear lights, and that makes your lights look like a 5hite fit. follow the original shape of the boot, and it looks fantastic - like mine!

IMHO the straight down one looks totally out of place. I would imagine it would be cheaper to get the other option done

i thot about doing the total flush number on my astra..but i think it makes the car look to flat n boxy.

instead of smoothing the boot have you thought about smoothing the black panel and then colour coding it.

think thats what i mite do in future
id much prefer that to a smooth boot! it keeps the shape of the boot better

That boot never had a black panel so smoothing it would have been alot easier(cheaper) as theres just a lock hole and the number plate holes to smooth. As charlie said, try smoothing the panel instead looks good

Smooth panel looks better as it doesnt make the lights look out of place + its cheaper & a DIY job with some filler and fibreglass.

here is mine that i done my self and it iaint as bad to do as what it looks i done it in 3 days solid and wasnt that pricey to do either

havnt seen this thread as i was on holiday when it was put up. but anyway im currently smoothing the black panel and it does look cool at the min, even tho it has the weight of a house

Ive got a flat down boot but its not completely flat all the way down...
