Hiya Kev pointed me to this thread (from an AOC "spotted & flyered" thread that I started) I'm from County Durham too (haven't been on mk3oc for a while myself) currently living near Barnard Castle though.

On Sunday the 18th November there was an Astra Owners Club meet in Yorkshire that I decided to go along to, and on the way down the A1 I overtook a yellow mk3 with a GSi kit going southbound as well, I was driving my atlantic blue M reg 5 door mk3 astra GLSRi (merit shell, C20NE from a mk3 SRi, GSi front kit, LS rear, with various items from cavaliers, calibras and vectras as well as a few other astras thrown in)

The yellow mk3 I saw looked more pineapple yellow, but it was foul weather, I couldn't see alloys obviously as it was moving, but it was badged "astra MV6" on the back - was that yours???

well thats a very tasty astra you have there. There doesn't seem to be many of us astra enthusiasts in the north east region (although Kenn from this site is from middlesborough way with his nice pineapple.) www.astraownersclub.com (where I usually hang out) has a few north east members but not masses so it's fairly quiet, hence me joining in on the yorkshire region meets. I've PM'd you my number, and I'll try to keep you informed if there's any astra stuff going on in our region. I used to go to the arnison centre but when the sunday night meets kinda got killed off last year I haven't been since, although every wednesday night at teesside park is a good night out for nice cars.

Nice Car wheels suit it perfectly like the colour i was toying with the idea of spraying mine orange like the dodge charger in dukes of hazzard.
