hey just a wee quicky q?

where is the best place to get a cheap machine polisher? a need one for the astra as its going from blue to purpel, and going by the results would be worth using alot more than just hand polish

cheers

'cheap' machine polishers aren't worth getting mate - certainly nothing Halfords sell. With those you'de be better off spending the cash on better products.

You can use a rotary sander with polishing pads, but it's not recommended for the beginer as you can burn your paint in about 3 seconds.

Unless you shell out for something like the Porter Cable 7424 for about £200 (i have 1, they're great) there's not much point buying 1.

Take your car to a decent hand car wash, they'll probably be able to do a machine polish on it for about £50.

machine polisher? you mean buffer or mop

ill chat to you later when your on msn mate..i could do it.

Ooo, starting my new job doing that tomorrow lol.
I'd say give it a bash my hand first. Remember my merit when i first got it was really pink. Polished it about 4 times over 2 weeks and it was shiny red again.
Give it a try, might save you some money.

100% flawless finish :D and it hasn't taken me long to get used to. Now i'm doing other peoples cars and charging them

Just got back after my first day at (hopefully) my new job. Theres defently a knack to mopping but i think i'm getting there.
Had an '02 Corsa in with a new boot a rear bumper, need a complete mop as the rest of the bodywork was so pink it was unreal. Worse than any 10 years old + Vauxhall i've seen. Shocking!
