Mine Sounded meaty with an induction kit stuck staight onto the side of the engine ... look in my diary thread for a pic.

However your car will probably be even slower.

induction kit on a 1.4 wont have as many problems as fitting it to a c20xe so if you want one go for it.

You can make it sound different but I wouldnt call it meaty. Are you just thinking of an air filter mod or have you got an aftermarket zaust etc?

I have an NZ and with a big bore 4" backbox and a modded aribox (removed tubing) it does sound very deep when you put your foot down, id put it down to my back box more than anything tho
