wanting a direct cold air induction kit, anyone got any idea's of any good ones and where to get them from? i do like the carbon look:cool:

been covered a few times, remove the plastic bits from your airbox, fit a decent panel filter and you could replace the standard air feed with a less restrictive one. I think you have a GSi tho so i dont know difference an induction kit would make on it as i drive a C14NZ :)

Carl - my old one? carbon fibre enclosure, so no unwanted hot air :)

Look n FS forum.

may be interested in that rob. ive been told several times that the xe's dont tend to like induction kits. but when i bought the car it had one already, and i think this has been causing problems since day 1. would love to put the original on and a sports panel filter but i hav'nt got the original to start with. so pl plese anyone who's got a xe, please could you tell me what filter/induction kit you are running?

My car hates induction kits, slows right down with one in...

Didn't somone do a guide on hacking up your airbox? Think it might have been Rob. Anyone know where it is?

its in tech guides, members section i think...

xe's hate induction kits, both mine did... stick with normal air box mate.... and any filter K&N, piper, courtney.....

could try ebay... on here or other vauxhall forums...... or you could try to get it new.. from vauxhall or autovaux... (thats if they do them)

Yea I couldnt find it either when I looked the otherday, thats why I asked if anyone knew where it was.

update: just phoned mega vaux. they hav'nt got any. then phoned vauxhall pentagon. i will have to order 1 for £68. but the guy said that the mk3 1.6 etc multipoint use the same boxes? is this true:pray: . as i have an old 1 lying around from my previose 1.6si which happened to be multipoint.

If it fits it fits, anit going to be that much diffrence. Try it?

i changed from a k&n 57i to a pipercross viper, its loads better now the hot air dont get in!

Drilling the box and putting a pannel filter in won't do anything for the engine sound will it?

will make it sound a little more meaty, but not as much as an induction kit.
