ecu bulb missing in phase 1 gsi astra

Just fit a new bulb. They have them for a reason!

I think it is going to be more of a pain finding the right wires to bridge with a test light than fitting a new bulb to be honest.
hmm, you could try it. not entirely sure it would work, but worth a go I suppose. Im just not sire if the signal impulses at the bridge though. Let me know if it works 
On second thoughts, Im thinking it might not work, because the bulb is missing there is no closed circuit. But give it a try anyway.

It's only like 5 screws
10 to be exact
2 in the steering wheel cowling front
3 in the lower half of the cowling
2 in the top of the clock cowling
2 at the bottom of the clock cowling
1 at the top of the clock
I think LOL - been ages since i did this
If you only have 5 then it must rattle like a jar of nuts in your car lol

Nah... I just couldn't remember exactly, but knew it was a piece of ****
my bulb had been removed too, i replaced it and now have a nice orange light on constantly! Wooo!
im slowly getting there
tried trick with test lamp ,doesnt work,will take clocks out tomorow and
keep you guys posted,this is just one small problem i hav uncoverd since
i bought it.the fuel tank had been fibreglassed,the gearbox blew up,head gasket went,timing belt went and took 8 valves not to mention the rear arches!!

yeah, sadly enough, there is often a reason for the bulb to be removed !
I had this on my GSI too ... bulb missing, replaced it, and woo hoo, nice little orange light in the car !! Damned blagging chavs that do this should have enough backbone to mention there is a problem with the car when they sell it , but NOOOOO , take the bulb out and flog the motor as A1 condition ... ********s.
PS, can you see this is a soft spot for me !! I sooo hate blagging conning gits !!
