it wud of soaked into the foam that wud be where the smells coming from. did u clean them wet or dry?

well it was wet i suppose cos i had to mop up the lumpy milk before i started. i had the base of the seat out and lathered the foam wi hot soapy water then cleaned the fabric side o seat and carpet

First shampoo it... car upholstery shampoo stuff, or the like.
And then a de-odouriser, such as

Or everybody's favourite, a strong air freshener such as

Or the equivelant from Halfords etc etc

Do you have a VAX?

My brother did the same thing to his Mk3, I was nearly sick when I smelt the odour from his car.

They took the seats out, absolutely soaked them with a hosepipe and then VAX'd (with the carpet cleaner added) them dry again. Seemed to do it.

get loads of air fresheners my mum in laws car was puked up in she got about 5 smellys and its gone

Same thing on Saturday ( 2 pints of the stuff ) so Monday at work took the boot mat out ( lucky not seats ) put bleach and washing-up liquid on it and scrubbed like hell rinsed off the offending bit left in the sun outside the hangar and voila!!!! No pong!
