test the thermostat in hot water,see if it opens. then test the fan switch on the radiator, disconnect the plug and bridge between the 2 with a bit of wire whilst running the car up, if the fan kicks in its the fan switch.

more info required on the arches, im thinking of buying a mk3 gsi turbo with origional rears, slight surface rust on both by sideskirts, can this be sorted without doing the whole arch or is it best to just bite the bullet and get them done. ta

Has anyone got any info on an astra mk3 gsi plate J711 SBF in flame red, thinking of buying this and just wondering if anyone knows its history/what has been done to it, I know it has a C20let in it. Its not a case of not trusting the seller at all, just wondering what info this will chuck up...
